"irodori" was born in 2017 by Mr. Imanishi of Limetone Audio. It was the winner of that year's effects contest, and it marked the beginning of Limetone Audio's rapid rise to prominence.
The irodori is a simple "one knob and one toggle" control, but it is a pedal that covers all the points that players are looking for. When I first encountered the irodori, I felt that while it has a fresh clean sound typical of Limetone Audio, it is by no means tasteless and odorless, and adds a bit of a vintage feel to it musically, with a hint of mellow and vividness. Furthermore, the two modes, "mellow" and "vivid," allow for a wide range of sound characteristics while ensuring convenience, which is probably the reason why this pedal is so loved.
However, because it is a booster pedal as described above, there are many artists who use it with the effect always on. I had a hunch that combining the irodori with KarDiaN's character module, which can be placed on the guitar in the shortest possible distance, would create a wonderful piece of equipment, so I immediately made an offer to Mr. Imanishi, the president of KarDiaN, and joint development with Limetone Audio began.
Downsizing the pedal-sized irodori to the size of a character module required selecting parts from scratch. In particular, the selection of the key amplification elements was extremely difficult, and the sound was adjusted many times. After a year of work, the "irodori onboard" was born.
The "irodori onboard" is not only for artists who usually leave the irodori on, but also for those who have been creating their own sound in an environment with carefully selected "instruments and amplifiers", and can add the irodori onboard without changing their system.
- CHARACTER MODULE SERIES -
The Character Module Series (hereafter CMS), the backbone of "irodori onboard", is characterized by its "built-in battery mechanism" and "socket replacement". Thanks to this small housing, a 9V battery of the so-called 006P type ( 50 x 26 mm) can be stored in the CMS with only a simple installation process. Furthermore, the "irodori onboard" can be interchanged with other CMS products in the socket without any additional modifications.
This allows you to experience the new playing experience of a character module with as little modification to your precious guitar as possible.
